The Life Nature and Environment Research Club (LINERC), Rajshahi University, proudly participated in a national-level meeting with volunteers and representatives of voluntary organizations engaged in wildlife, forest, and biodiversity conservation. The event was jointly organized by the Bangladesh Forest Department and the Bangladesh Biodiversity Conservation Federation (BBCF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting titled \u201c11th Anniversary Conference of BBCF\u201d<\/strong> was held on 6 December 2025<\/strong> at Ban Bhaban, Agargaon, Dhaka<\/strong>. The program aimed to bring together volunteers, environmental organizations, and conservation stakeholders from across the country to strengthen collaboration and share experiences in biodiversity protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The event was graced by Syeda Rizwana Hasan<\/strong>, Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Ministry of Water Resources, who attended as the Chief Guest<\/strong>. Her presence highlighted the government\u2019s commitment to encouraging volunteer participation and strengthening partnerships with civil society organizations for environmental conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Representing LINERC, the following members attended the meeting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Md. Mohidul Islam Alam<\/strong> \u2013 Founder and Former General Secretary During the program, several important topics were discussed, including strengthening the role of volunteers in forest, wildlife, and biodiversity conservation, sharing field-level experiences and challenges faced by conservation groups, improving coordination between the Forest Department and voluntary organizations, and exploring future collaborative initiatives for environmental protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n LINERC representatives actively participated in the discussions and presented their ideas and expectations for enhancing youth engagement in forest conservation activities. They emphasized the importance of involving students and young volunteers in practical conservation efforts, environmental awareness programs, and research initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition to the formal sessions, LINERC members also had a cordial meeting with Mr.<\/strong> Alam<\/strong> and Mr. Mostafa<\/strong>, distinguished alumni of the Department of Botany.
